Only during the tour, did I learnt that Si Chuan is the original birth place for the national treasure (国宝) of China - Panda.
In Cheng Du, there is a Panda Conservation Centre where it has the largest Panda population in it's natural habitat.
It's amazing to see so much panda action when normally, only one or two pandas were ocassionally loaned to the Singapore Zoo and I had to jostled for a good view of the panda which are often sound asleep in the air-con enclosure.

So if you are a panda fanatic, here's the place to go! No jostling, plenty of pandas to see at close range and lots of panda souvenirs for grab!!
